CACRC had the joy of donating laptops to Familias Unidas of Louisiana! We are thrilled to assist this organization with needed technology, which will be used in helping community members fill out government forms, data entry, community outreach, food distribution coordination, Zoom calls and general communication needs.
From Danny Vasquez: “At Familias Unidas en Acción, our advocacy efforts include a range of supportive services for our community members. We organize shuttles to the state capitol for key votes on immigration laws, ensuring our voices are heard. We also hold regular legal clinics to help community members navigate complex legal issues, including filling out and submitting complaints for wage theft and civil rights violations to the appropriate agencies. Additionally, we support our community through a community garden and a large food pantry, providing fresh produce and essential supplies to those in need.”
